Ocean Song plans to begin its grades program once it become granted by the province as a new BC Independent School. Then will grow by adding one adjacent grade per year until the school reaches Class 8. o

The school’s pedagogy combines the British Columbia curriculum with Waldorf-inspired methods. Daily rhythms balance movement, along with storytelling, arts, practical work, and academic subjects.

In the Grades program, the same teacher remains with the students on their journey from Class 1 through Class 8, while numerous specialty teachers support the delivery of the curriculum. Faculty culture emphasizes mentoring, professional development, and shared study to sustain program integrity and continuous improvement.
